Secret places in Mussoorie to gain Nirvana
There is a hill station located around 33 kilometers
from Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand, which we know as Mussoorie. The place which has been
called the ‘Queen of the Hills’ since the colonial times is no less than a
paradise itself. Mussoorie is a hill station located at an elevation of 6580
feet and covered in clouds and snow. If you really want to see complete
Mussoorie then you would need at least a period of 15days so that you can
explore it completely. There are more than 30 places to see in a total of
Mussoorie but frankly speaking every turn and every moment you spend there you
will feel the heavens have come down to earth.
When we leave Dehradun first thing after Rajpur
road, you would find is Malsi Dear Park, the astonishing zoo of Dehradun. When
moving towards Mussoorie you will see nature is taking a jaw-dropping
change. The valleys start to emerge and roads will become curvier. Going a
little front you would find the first Shiva temple. Hundreds of shops and hotels
all around the valley will amaze you that in such a height how people survive
and thrive. When reaching Mussoorie toll booth you would realize that the
temperature has already started o fall.
Moving up and
going with the flow you would find Mussoorie bus stand from where the main mall
road starts, one of the main attractions of Mussoorie. Starting from there you
will see all the attractions. When you will explore Mall road, you will find
how the modern and old Mussoorie merged and gave us the queen of the hills.
There are some small places to visit on the mall road like the Aquarium, Wax
The museum, ropeway, gun hill, Mussoorie Christ Church, and many others. Now moving
on to the main attraction and tourist places you can visit and never forget.

Clouds end
Around 7 km from the main town of Mussoorie, there is a
hill covered in Oak and Deodar forest called the Cloud end. Due to ecological
conditions, a special phenomenon takes place, you can see the cloud in both the lower and
upper part of the mountain. When seen for the first time you will feel like
grabbing the clouds. This place is nothing less than Limbo, the midway of earth
and heaven. There is also a beautiful heritage bungalow built about 182 years
from now. The bungalow is now converted into a special hotel (Clouds End Hotel).
Nag Tibba Trek
Around 16 km from the main town of Mussoorie, you will
find one the most exhilarating trekking point called as Nag Tibba trekking
trail. This place is relatively unknown and one of the rare places in Mussoorie
where you won’t find traffic or a huge crowd. this place gives you a chance to
climb way up to 10,000 ft in the middle of snow-covered mountains and immensely
beautiful evening sky. The highest peak of this trek is called the
serpent’s peak and this whole range is served as the home to nag devta as
understood by the name. This trek is for the people who what to run away from
busy daily life and have so quality time in nature.
Jabarkhet nature reserve
One of the hidden gems of Mussoorie is Jabarkhet
Nature Reserve. A reserve spread across 100 acres of land is home to the rare and
extensive variety of plants, animals, birds, and mammals. This reserve is
privately owned and is one of the best places for bird watching. The management
will provide you with a color-coded map that is very easy to follow and you
can hire a guide as well who will help you to see almost all the hidden parts
and beauty of the place. The park contains 8 well-demarcated trails which you
can follow to enjoy to the fullest. If you are a nature enthusiast then you
must visit the Jabarkhet nature reserve.
Benog wildlife sanctuary
Home to almost extinct animals like mountain
quails, deers, and red-billed blue magpie, Benog wildlife sanctuary is one of
the well-known places in Mussoorie. This place is surrounded by the Himalayas and
covered in pine trees. You can enjoy bird watching or you can enjoy the beauty
of chaukhamba and bandarpunch peaks. This sanctuary spreads across 339 hectares
of land and is also known as Vinog mountain Quail Sanctuary. This place is not
just home to endangered species of animals but also contains the treasure of
rare and exotic medical herbs and plants.
Lambi Dehar Mines
Taking about paranormal activity, many people would
close their eyes; one of the spookiest places in Mussoorie is Lamba Dehar
mines. It is one of the famous places in Mussoorie yet most disregarded places.
The place is enveloped in complete greenery and dreamlike landscapes but yet
the silence of nature will give you chills. In the 1990s the mines were
closed after the death of whooping 50,000 workers of the mines, not a single
survivor. The reason behind this miss-happening is said to be inappropriate
mining practices that caused lung disorder but the locals believe that it is
the work of a sinister spirit or witch who still haunts the place. There have been
several car accidents and even a helicopter also crashed near the mines which
scare people even more. Ghost enthusiasts you would love to visit the place and
explore the unexploited secrets of lambi dehar mines.

the places you might find a little crowd. Overall if you really and to give
some meaning to your time and peace of mind, visit Mussoorie and feel the
